Marjo Prins - Head of Early Learning & Junior Preparatory

After completing 5 years of study: Junior Primary, Pre-primary (HDE) and Learners with Special Educational Needs (FDE LSEN), Márjó started her teaching career in the UK. At the International School of Cape Town, she taught Reception and Year 3, whilst overseeing the Learning Support programme and then moved to Durbanville to join ISCT Tygerberg.

Lauren Bernabei - Head of Grade 1

Lauren Bernabei earned her B.Ed. Foundation Phase degree from Stellenbosch University in 2005 and started her career at Holy Cross Sister’s School in 2006. After teaching at Chesterhouse International School, she became the Grade Head of Grade 1 in 2023. Lauren takes an empathetic and individualized approach to education, focusing on helping children grow in confidence and celebrating their unique expressions of knowledge and talent. 

Rachel Manthé - Head of Grade 2

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase from Nelson Mandela University and has 14 years of teaching experience, including various leadership roles. She joined Reddam House Durbanville as the Head of Grade 2 and Grade 2 Teacher, focusing on fostering a positive and supportive learning environment and igniting curiosity and confidence in her students. 

Hettitia Dircksen - Head of Grade 3

Hettitia started her journey at NWU Pukke Potchefstroom, earning a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree. She has guided students from Stage 5 to Grade 12 and taken leadership roles in Netball, pastoral care, Science Department, and academic grade teams. She believes in open communication, excellence, honesty, integrity, and empathy in teaching. 

Kaylee Faure - Deputy Head, Stage 1 to Grade 4

Kylee Faure has been immersed in education since 2006, starting her career while pursuing a Bachelor of Education in ECD Foundation Phase. 
Now serving as Deputy Head at Reddam House Durbanville, Kylee is dedicated to integrating her enthusiasm for curriculum development and 21st-century skills into the classroom. She is committed to delivering educational excellence while upholding the core principles of foundational learning.
